September is about the thoughts and feelings of an autumn day, with the track list following this order.
It is a day of departure, one is on the road or on the way to a destination.
It is about the melancholy retrospection of the past and the joyful anticipation of the new unknown.
It will be a new beginning.

The album consists of mostly short, sketchy tracks that continue the mood of the previous piece.
Dense textures are interspersed with hinted melodies, question and answer instrumentation, crisp percussion and driving beats.

The material was finally sent through a reel-to-reel tape recorder, where it was given its organicity and airy mix.
